Year 6 are off to a fantastic start in their final primary school journey. They have been diving into the fascinating world of classification based on the famous work by Carl Linnaeus. After spending time consolidating their understanding of the five kingdoms, children applied their learning into a practical task of developing their own garden centre. They organised their plants based on their understanding of the 4 division categories of: mosses, flowering, ferns and conifers. They worked in small groups and presented their findings and ideas to the rest of the class.
