This week, Langley proudly took part in The Great Big School Clean, and what a fantastic effort it was. One dedicated representative from every class in Years 3–6 was chosen to take part, and each of them demonstrated the very best of our Langley values throughout the day.

From the moment we set off, our pupils showed teamwork, supporting one another as they tackled different areas of our local environment. Their sense of stewardship shone through as they carefully collected litter, protected wildlife habitats, and thought deeply about how their actions make a difference. And, as always, they treated each other — and the community around them — with genuine respect.

Together, we worked hard to make our surroundings cleaner, greener, and more enjoyable for everyone. It was inspiring to see how much pride our pupils took in caring for the place we all share.

We were also very fortunate to have our Eco Council lead a special assembly for the whole school. They confidently shared practical ways we can look after our planet — from reducing waste and recycling, to saving energy and encouraging others to care for our environment. Their message was inspiring, and it set a perfect tone for our responsibility.

A huge well done to all involved. Your commitment to looking after our world is something to be truly proud of, and you represented Langley brilliantly.
