Lesson 1 of our new unit: Separating Mixtures and Changing Materials had the children finding ways to separating a dry mixture.

The object of the task was to answer the enquiry question ‘Can we separate mixtures? To do this, the children created sieves with different sized holes to let threw a range of materials of different sizes.
