Today in Art, pupils learned how to apply composition skills to develop a drawing into a monoprint. We began by discussing how composition helps artists organise shapes and details effectively.

Pupils created drawings inspired by an abstract part of their house—focusing on interesting shapes, lines and textures. They then used these drawings to create monoprints, a technique where each print is unique. After inking their designs and pressing them onto paper, they produced bold, expressive prints.

The class showed great creativity and a strong understanding of how thoughtful composition enhances a final monoprint.
