For this half term, the children will be looking at structures, focusing on bridges.

In lesson 1, they used cardboard to recreate an arch bridge and a beam bridge to test their strength. We then added folds to the cardboard (not seen in real bridges) to see if that would reinforce the bridge. The children found that the ‘zigzag’ bridge held the most weight.
