Yesterday, Year 5 were scientists! We investigated how the Sun appears to move across the sky by observing shadows. We placed a shadow stick in a sunny spot and marked its shadow at different times during the day using chalk (or string and pegs on grass). Each mark included the time.

We made 4 observations and noticed the shadow changed in length and direction as the day went on.
