Water resistence

This week, the children started the lesson by learning about water resistance and how it slows objects that are being pulled to the earth because of gravity. The teacher modelled dropping two clay balls; one in water and one through the air. The children were able to see that the ball falling through water was slower to land.

The children were then given the question; how does the shape of an object affect its movement in water? They were given a range of resources to complete a comparative test.
