After hearing about the ‘Big Stink’ of 1858 in London, Year 5 worked diligently to clear the ‘stink’ in our classroom, using filtering and sieving techniques to emulate our sewage system. They spent time planning their techniques and then put them into action, cleaning the water to an almost drinkable state.
