We have started our new Design Technology unit. The children are learning about mechanisms. Last week, we introduced what a pivot is, a lever and what linkages are. We looked for everyday things to identify them. For instance, the door handles, scissors, windows and many more. This week, we created levers and linkages using card and split pins. Using what they have learnt, they will create their own moving monster.
