Campfire and Marshmallows

Last week, on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th of February, 3TG celebrated their Forest School journey by having a campfire, a sing-a-long and by cooking smores. 3TG reviewed their fire safety procedures and were given a Campfire ‘Tool Talk’ for the equipment, tinder and kindling used by Mrs Lowe.

Whilst Mrs Lowe oversaw the supervision of the fire, Logan and Mrs Wadsworth (adult volunteers) helped the children to assemble the smores. After eating, the children went onto the main field to have a game of Freeze Tag and to hug a few trees.

Before half term, 3TG had helped to plant hedgerow saplings around the edges of the main field, This included Willow, Rowan and Beech. We hope that as the hedgerow matures it will encourage more small birds and wildlife into the school grounds.
