This half term 3TG have been enjoying several activities. We have made stick pictures; including a Stickman, a Stick Monster, a picture of lightening, a cosy cottage, a game of football and a giant strawberry, to name but a few.

Friendship bracelets were very popular and the children made some super bird feeders, using Cheerio Multi-grains. They have also learnt the 4 Forest School Rules and were quick to pick up the safety points for Fire pit safety. We have also talked about and identified Natural Resources, such as Wood, Water, Grass (hay), Wheat (straw and flour), Metals and Wool from sheep. 3TG gave me some wonderful answers and showed themselves to be very knowledgeable.

They have had great fun playing ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’, ‘Sticky-elbows, ‘Stuck in the Mud’ and hugging the trees.

Week 4 will be looking at hedgerow planting, with visitors from Solihull MBC Forestry Services and discussing the importance it brings to nature and city wildlife.
