This half term, the children are learning about painting and mixed media through artist study. Each week, they focus on a different artist. This week, the artist showcased was John Singer Sargent.

Their main task was to create a class freeze frame of his famous painting ‘Gassed’ which depicts an element of WWI

The children ‘found’ props and were given a few attempts at depicting the painting with a different member of the team observing the scene and giving tips on how to improve.
