As a part of the Solihull Sports offer, we are privileged to have an immense amount of opportunities for the children to take part in a range of events.

Yesterday, after school, some of our year 6’s took part in a rowing competition, most of whom had never used a rowing machine before. With that being said, they had a great time and demonstrated superb sportsmanship, determination and had a lot of fun.

We are always asking the children to try something or take part in something they may have never experienced before (opening their minds to new activities) and we are so proud of those children who face this challenge and join in.

After individual rows lasting 90 seconds where they were competing against other schools. The children then had a relay race where they have to work as a team, swiftly and efficiently.

A huge thank you to those parents who not only push and encourage their children to take part but also support them in getting to the required destination. Yesterday, it was lovely to hear parents not only supporting their child but cheering on the rest of the team as well.

In school, we recently had a visit from an inspiring young man, Charlie Fogarty MBE, who explained that the main reason he has succeeded is beacuse of the support of his parents especially when it comes to being driven to the necessary places.
