On Monday 7th October, Year 4 were lucky enough to have Gen Kelsang Leksang (who is a practising Buddhist nun) in to deliver a talk on Buddhism to help enrich our Religious Education learning this half term.

She showed us her robes and explained the significance of them, talked about the different rules that Buddhists live by, showed us how to meditate and explained how we can use it to benefit us in our daily lives and even showed us how to chant like Buddhists!

The children were so respectful, engaged and inquisitive and Gen even mentioned how they were one of the most amazing groups of children that she had delivered a workshop too (although we would expect nothing less from our wonderful year 4’s!).
