Well done and thank you to all children and families that took part in ‘The Big Plastic Count 2024’! So many of you took part this year and have made a difference by contributing to national data in the bid to reduce plastic use. Campaigner’s have made it their mission to reduce plastic production by 60% by the year 2040 and to phase out single-use plastics by 2030.

All children who took part (Nursery to Year 6) received their certificate of participation along with their very own digital plastic footprint in their key stage celebration assembly this week (if ‘Tally sheet’ was handed in by 31st March deadline.) All classes that took part will also display their digital plastic footprint in their classrooms as a reminder of the difference they have made so far and can continue to make in the bid for a ‘plastic-free future’.
